I'm in Oregon! Can I get a BOOOOYAAAAAH

Take a guess where I am....

Those of you who chose something that wasn't oregon get a swift kick to the nuts and/or the head. Those of the female persuasion get two swift kicks to the head seeing as they don't have nuts.

For those that chose Oregon or someplace specific in oregon. You get a smiley! :-)

About the flight and events prior:

Night before last... or at least I think it was night before last, my girlfriend and I stayed up till the wee hour of 4:00am working on my costume and taking care of last minute business. The costume turned out awesomely (love you Andrea) and a good chunbk of last minute business was cleared up. This was followed by a four hour nap before we got up and went over to her place to grab some of my stuff. Then after running an errand and picking up a couple energy drinks I was returned home and went to packing.

Fast forward to after work:

Zach goes home and takes care of more shit. Goes to girlfriends home and has beer. Get's on flight to Oregon and three weeks of freedom! Yay,

The flight was long, it was a flight I hadn't taken since I was a wee little lad of 14 winters. (And because of George R.R. Martin I firmly believe us Winter Children kick much ass) I got in a little reading, however seeing as it was the Red Eye IU decided it would be polite to allow the nice man next to me the ability to sleep without a poorly aimed reading light shining in his face. So instead I watched my first ever in-flight movie... gods above and below I'm sheltered. Suffice to say "Guess Who" was actually better than I had anticipated, pretty damn funny with several moments where I had to take off the headphones to avoid hearing the painfully funny lines.

The wait for the connecting flight from seattle to portland was annoyingly long for someone who had four hours of sleep to cover for 48 hours of activity. Suffice to say I got some reading in. Clash of Kings is wonderful so far and I'm not even through the first cycle of characters. The flight was short and I arrived in Portland without a hitch, followed my friends directions to his place easily enough. And all was good.

Seeing Brendan again (who I knew as Aurora/Sparky long long long [three years long] ago) was quite refreshing, we seemed to fall into a casual pace as though we hadn't spent the past couple years with our only communication being via internet and telephone. Suffice the say there were only about four "I missed you"'s He had to leave for work so I decided to go for a walk with the full intention of going to downtown Portland. Suffice to say I turned back after nearly falling asleep at a bustop and figured exploring could come the next day.

My 'nap' last roughly eight and a half hours anbd I'm positive I dreamed. A pity I can't remember the dreams. Suffice toi say I awoke upon hearing voices mentioning "I think he's still sleeping" and promptly figured it was time to get up seeing as one of the voices belonged to someone who was supposed to return around the hour of seven and thirty minutes. Now I'm at a coffee shop called "Grendels" (GO Beowulf! Can't wait for the movie) and Brendan and I are waiting for the Harry Potter release party at the bookstore next door.

Have fun peoples and don't eat too many gnats.
Zach
